Going Veggie at the Farmer's Market

At the Coconut Grove Organic Farmer's Market - fresh is the word. Explosive in color, fruits of every flavor are lined up in shaggy cardboard boxes - your usual mangoes, bananas and avocados, alongside their rarer brethren.
Try durian fruit, pre-peeled to save you the stench. Or monstera deliciosa - like a scaly, oversized banana. But beware, it takes a full year to ripen, and eaten prematurely - can be deadly. Wonders never cease.
Besides the fruity delights, find vegan lunch options aplenty. From fresh avocado & cilantro salad to homemade ice cream - dairy free. Fresh coconut water or mango juice, pick your pleasure.
Who needs meat, with the wonders of the vegetable world before you? Eat your way through the rainbow, and save a cow or two.
