A Frog For All Seasons

I almost stepped on this guy while walking the neighborhood. It was really hard to see him at night, which is when I do most of my walking.

I guess you could say that he posed for this picture. Or better said froze for it, which is what frogs frequently do when threatened.

And like Norton, he spends a lot of his time down in the sewer, using the lifting hole as a door.

But I only had a small camera in my hand.

What was he afraid of, the flash?

And lastly, see his red eye? Being a frog I would have expected green, not red.
